Search Engine Marketing Strategist

Are you a strategic thinker with experience in driving conversions through paid search strategies? The Blue Compass team is looking for an experienced PPC strategist to assist our digital marketing team with developing comprehensive SEM strategies, conversion tracking, campaign development, implementation, optimization and reporting. We work with a wide variety of clients across multiple industries. 

Digital Marketing Strategist Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Working to enhance the search presence of Blue Compass’ clients by creating PPC strategies, performing keyword research and analyzing advertising data
  • Independently creating strategic plans for various clients SEM campaigns and initiatives
  • Planning and working with our team to implement advanced responsive search campaigns, improve landing page experience, optimize campaigns and effectively track conversions
  • Producing regular reports for clients based on industry changes, optimizations and opportunities 
  • Train clients and internal team members on Google Ads best practices
  • Attending and presenting in client meetings
  • Assisting with estimates, new client proposals and new business meetings for search engine marketing contracts
  • Attending conferences, workshops and other training sessions in order to grow industry knowledge

Requirements For The Digital Marketing Strategist Role:

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, journalism, public relations or a related digital marketing field
  • Candidate must have experience with advanced search engine optimization (SEO), Google Analytics, Google Ads, conversion rate optimization (CRO), strategic planning, keyword research and Google Tag Manager
  • Four-year degree in marketing or related field preferred
  • Google Ads Certification is required 
  • Experience with Bing Ads is a bonus
