My name is Michelle Torrey and I’m excited to join the Blue Compass team as the Client Support & QA Manager. I look forward to utilizing my managing digital projects to help clients meet their business goals.
I grew up in Guttenberg, a small town in Eastern Iowa, and attended college at the University of Northern Iowa where I obtained my degree in Public Relations and Communications. After college, I returned to my hometown to become the editor of the newspaper and moved on to be a Customer Relations Manager at an agriculture finance company in Cedar Falls. I then became Director of Communications for a healthcare organization in the Des Moines area. After that experience, I moved on to the marketing department at a large healthcare company where I spent the last 17 years handling incoming requests for intranets, websites and various other digital projects. When the Client Support & QA Manager position opened up, I knew it would be the perfect position for me since I have a passion for managing digital projects and assisting clients with their inquiries.
Outside of Work
Outside of work I enjoy reading books, watching the newest Netflix series, trying out new restaurants in the Des Moines area and traveling with friends and family. My favorite place I’ve traveled to is Turks and Caicos where I got to scuba dive with a famous wild dolphin named JoJo! When I’m not traveling, you can find me at my home in Beaverdale along with my cat and newly adopted Corgi puppy.
